Utica Police Seize Nearly 80 Grams of Cocaine in Brinckerhoff Avenue Traffic Stop

UTICA, NY — On Tuesday, just before 8 p.m., Utica Police officers from the Crime Prevention Unit pulled over a vehicle on the 1100 block of Brinckerhoff Avenue for NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.



When officers approached the driver, 41-year-old Eric Warner of Utica, they discovered his driver’s license was suspended. Warner was taken into custody, a search revealed multiple corner-knotted baggies containing suspected cocaine along with a large amount of cash.



The suspected cocaine weighed nearly 80 grams, which is a significant quantity. Both the drugs and cash were seized as evidence.



Warner was transported to the Utica Police Department for processing. Later, investigators from the Special Investigations Unit charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, along with two counts of NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
