Rome Police Investigating Shooting, Bullet Hole Found in Parked Car

ROME, NY — Tuesday afternoon was interrupted by gunfire near 510 North James Street, prompting a response from the Rome Police.
At around 3:12 p.m. on July 15, 2025, patrol officers arrived on scene after reports of shots fired in the area. Upon investigation, they discovered a white passenger vehicle in a parking lot showing clear signs of gunfire, including at least one bullet hole.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The incident remains under active investigation as authorities work to determine what led to the shooting. Police are asking anyone who may have seen or heard something to step forward.
