Naked Intruder Caught After Bizarre Morning Break-In in Utica

ree

UTICA, NY — On the morning of June 24, 2025, Utica Police responded to a bizarre burglary call that left both officers and the victim stunned.

Around 6:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to 1216 Gray Avenue after a resident awoke to an unsettling scene: an unfamiliar, completely naked man lying on his living room floor. The startled resident demanded the man leave, but instead of complying, the intruder grabbed the victim's clothes, got dressed, helped himself to food from the fridge, and then fled the apartment.

With a description of both the man and the stolen clothes in hand, officers began canvassing the apartment complex. The search took a strange turn when one officer noticed the elevator repeatedly opening and closing with no one stepping out. Investigating further, the officer found a man inside matching the suspect's description and promptly detained him.

The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Christopher Pollard, who has no known address. When confronted, Pollard told officers, “I’m under arrest,” and was taken into custody without incident.

Pollard now faces charges from the Utica Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, including:

• Burglary in the second degree

• Petit larceny

Police have not released any further details regarding Pollard’s motive or state of mind at the time of the incident.
