Motorcyclist Killed in Collision in Rome

Rome, NY — On Monday, June 9, 2025, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers from the Rome Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Black River Boulevard and East Pine Street.

The crash involved a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a motorcycle. Upon arrival, officers found the motorcycle operator, identified as 19-year-old Logan A. Kerber, with serious injuries. He was transported to Rome Health, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Rome Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
