Motorcyclist Airlifted After Collision on Commercial Drive in Whitestown

UPDATE | State Police say 30-year-old Christopher S. Post of Hubbardsville was riding a motorcycle eastbound when an SUV, driven by 77-year-old Donna G. Tuzzolino of Utica, turned left into his path. Post was critically injured and airlifted to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse. Tuzzolino was uninjured and ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
Whitestown, NY — On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at approximately 8:02 a.m., New York State Police responded to a serious car versus motorcycle collision in front of 5074 Commercial Drive in the Town of Whitestown.
According to the initial investigation, a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Commercial Drive was struck when an SUV made a left turn directly into its path.
The male motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene by responding officers and emergency medical personnel. He was later airlifted to Upstate Hospital by Mercy Flight Central.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit remain on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
