Man Charged After Knife Threat During Argument on Weaver Street

UTICA, NY — On July 20th, 2025, around 5:20 PM, Utica Police responded to a call on Weaver Street for a menacing incident involving a knife. Officers learned that a dispute had broken out between two individuals over dogs running loose in the area.

The situation escalated when one man allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the other, leaving the victim in fear for his safety.

Police quickly identified the suspect and took him into custody without incident.

Charles Kulick, 63, of Ilion, was arrested and transported to the Utica Police Department. He now faces charges of Menacing in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
