Major Drug Bust in Utica: Cocaine, Fentanyl, and Cash Seized on Albany Street

UTICA, NY — A narcotics investigation in Utica led to a major drug bust on June 24, 2025, after officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Albany Street.



Investigators with the Utica Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, along with the Patrol Division and the Oneida County Narcotics Unit, raided 613 Albany Street as part of an ongoing investigation into drug sales in the area.



Inside, officers found felony-level quantities of cocaine and fentanyl, along with digital scales, packaging materials, and a stash of U.S. currency.



At the conclusion of the search, 32-year-old William Antonetti Fontanez of Utica was arrested and hit with a long list of felony charges, including:


• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Intent to Sell) – Cocaine


• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Intent to Sell) – Fentanyl


• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th – Cocaine


• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th – Fentanyl


• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th – Cocaine


• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th – Fentanyl


• Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd – Two Counts
