Four Pursuits in One Day: Busy Thursday for Utica Police

Utica, NY — It was a busy day for officers on Thursday, June 12, 2025, with four separate police pursuits taking place throughout the city. The incidents included two foot pursuits and two vehicle pursuits, resulting in multiple arrests. According to initial information, suspects were taken into custody in all but one of the incidents.
Here’s a breakdown of the known pursuits:
• Neilson Street and Arthur Street – Around 2:25 p.m., a foot pursuit ended with one suspect taken into custody.
• Charlotte Street and Park Avenue – Around 3:25 p.m., a vehicle pursuit led to another arrest.
• Elm Street and Steuben Street – Around 6:50 p.m., a driver fled at a high rate of speed from a traffic stop. The pursuit was ultimately terminated.
• 1500 Block of Oneida Street – Around 11:26 p.m., a foot pursuit followed a traffic stop. Three individuals were taken into custody and a weapon was recovered at the scene.
