Utica, NY – In a heartfelt plea for support, a local mother, overwhelmed by the demands of caring for her daughter, has made the difficult decision to quit one of her two jobs in order to be fully available for her child’s medical needs.

Due to constant out-of-town appointments and the unpredictability of her daughter Alannah’s condition, the mother said she had no choice but to prioritize her daughter’s care, which means a reduction in household income. With three children to support, she now faces challenges covering medical copays and the costs of traveling to appointments.

“My biggest worry right now is the copays from her insurance,” the mother shared. “I can’t enroll her in another plan until the end of January, and even then, it will still come with copays—just a little less than now. The financial burden is overwhelming.”

While some medical services are free when they stay at the facility, the added expenses of copays and travel continue to mount. With the uncertainty of the coming months, the family is reaching out to the community for help.

“If you are able to donate, every dollar counts,” she said. “It would help take some of the stress off as I prepare for this long journey ahead of me and my family.”

In a time of need, the mother expressed her gratitude for any support offered, noting how the community’s generosity could bring much-needed relief.
