Dispute in Marcy Leads to Gunfire and Arrest; Investigation Ongoing

Marcy, NY – In the early hours of June 15, 2025, New York State Police responded to a report of a dispute with gunshots fired at a residence on Fox Road in the town of Marcy.
Troopers arrived on scene at approximately 12:08 a.m. and interviewed those involved. According to a preliminary investigation, an adult male had discharged a rifle into the air during the incident.
The individual was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to Wynn Hospital by Kunkel Ambulance for a mental health evaluation and treatment of injuries sustained after punching a glass reptile tank. No other individuals were injured.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is continuing to investigate the matter. Criminal charges are pending.
