Report of Shots Fired Outside Byrne Dairy & Deli in Rome; Police Issue BOLO for Two Vehicles

Rome, NY — June 14, 2025 — Rome Police responded to a report of shots fired outside the Byrne Dairy & Deli on Erie Boulevard East Saturday evening.
At approximately 6:11 p.m., a 911 caller reported that someone discharged a firearm from one vehicle at another. Both vehicles reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived.
During the course of their investigation, police were able to identify the license plate numbers of the vehicles involved. A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert was issued as officers work to locate the vehicles.
No injuries have been reported at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
