Two Employees Injured in Grill-Side Explosion at Delmonico’s

Utica, NY – June 16, 2025 – Emergency crews were dispatched to Delmonico’s Steakhouse at approximately 4:07 p.m. Monday after reports of an explosion that injured two employees.
According to officials, the call came in as an explosion with possible burn victims. The incident was traced to a can of cooking spray that had been placed too close to a hot grill, causing it to explode.
Both employees sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Wynn Hospital Emergency Department for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
There was no active fire and no damage to the building was reported.
