Two-Car Accident in Annsville Sends One to Hospital

ANNSVILLE, NY – November 27, 2024 – A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 69 and Lee Center Taberg Road in the Town of Annsville on Wednesday afternoon resulted in one person being airlifted to the hospital.

Deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 3:54 PM after receiving reports of an accident involving injuries.

Investigators determined that Lori Tymofy, 56, of Blossvale, was driving a red 2006 Dodge Caravan southbound on Lee Center Taberg Road. Tymofy reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the roadway on Route 69, where her vehicle collided with a westbound Bliss Garbage truck operated by Ernie Flagg, 54, of Taberg. The force of the collision caused Tymofy's vehicle to veer off the road and into a ditch.

A passenger in Tymofy’s vehicle, Joseph Lord, was transported via Mercy Flight to SUNY Upstate Medical for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the accident.

Emergency responders from AmCare, Mercy Flight, and the Taberg Fire Department assisted at the scene. No additional injuries were reported.
